The Children’s House Montessori School

The Children’s House Staff

The role of the teacher in a Montessori environment is to inspire the human potential, leading children to ask questions, think for themselves, explore, investigate and discover.  The teacher’s ultimate objective is to help the child learn independently while retaining their natural curiosity, creativity and intelligence.  Montessori teachers do not only present lessons, they are also facilitators, mentors and guides.  Each of the five teachers at the Children’s House is either a certified Montessori Primary educator, has extensive training or is in the process of training/certification.  Each teacher has a genuine love and respect of children and the way God created each one individually.

“Those things that we call encouragement, comfort, love and respect, drawn from the soul of man, and the more freely we give of them, the more do we renew and reinvigorate the life around us.”
